In their fifth game, the Vulcans fell to Dominican 5-0 at San Raphael, Calif., on Thursday to start a three-game road trip.

Last year, the Penguins finished with a 2-15-1 record and below the Vulcans (4-12-2) in the PacWest standings.

UHH goalies Joshua Jespar and Cassidy Dixon both played a half and surrendered three and two scores, respectively.

Rodrigo Castellanos had the only shot on goal for the Vuls (1-4, 0-1 PacWest).

Luke Raley scored twice while Mat Case, Austen McGregor, and Chase Whitfield scored for the Penguins (1-5, 1-0).

Women

UHH 1, Dominican 1: Tiera Arakawa scored on a one-on-one breakaway in the second half for the Vuls (2-2-2, 0-0-1).

Stephanie Pawek scored on a penalty kick in the second half for the Penguins (0-2-3, 0-0-1).
